A Message from Ms. Arnold

Dear GAA Families

We hope that you had a wonderful and relaxing break with friends and family. The GAA staff is excited to welcome our students back tomorrow for the second half of the 2021/2022 school year!!

We are going into this second half of the year with a continued emphasis on the health and safety of our staff, students, and extended GAA family.

I know we are all aware of the surge in COVID cases recently due to the new variant and holiday travel. We have already received multiple notices of students and staff that have tested positive for COVID. Unfortunately, I am expecting more notices in the coming weeks.

We are a small school and have limited staff to step in and substitute when staff is out. Having multiple staff out is a serious concern for us. While we will do everything we can to keep our school open, there is the possibility that we may have to close a class or, in extreme cases, the school if we don't have the proper staffing.

We will continue to focus on daily sanitizing of our classroom, reminders to students to wash their hands and sanitize their hands when entering and leaving the classroom. Masks are still optional, but are highly recommended, even for vaccinated students and staff. You will see more staff, including myself, wearing masks indoors when students return.

Please help us keep everyone safe and healthy by keeping your child home when they are sick, especially if they are awaiting test results. Please do not send them to school if they have any sickness, even if you think it is COVID or something else. We don't want any germs here right now :)

We do have rapid tests available here in the office if needed. Our quarantine and isolation protocols have also changed. If your child has been exposed to a positive test or have tested positive for COVID, please call the office so that we can guide you on next steps!

I want to thank everyone ahead of time for their patience, flexibility, and understanding during these times. Even with this added bump in the road, we are continuing to focus on getting students academically and socially ready for the next grade and supporting them in having a great second half of the year! We will make it through together, as a GAA Family!

As always, please call or email me with any questions or concerns.

Thanks!

Ms. Arnold

What's an ECA Tax Credit Donation??

All Arizona taxpayers are eligible to make contributions to public schools to support extracurricular activities. The Leona Group is working with American Charter Schools Foundation (ACSF) and Kaizen Education Foundation (KEF) schools to collect funds for tax credits. You can help students while lowering your tax bill by making your tax-deductible contribution today! Tax donations are non-refundable.

Lunches

Lunches are free for everyone through May.

Lunches must be preordered since they are catered into GAA. Watch for lunch order forms around the 15th of each month for the following month.

Free/Reduced lunch applications are available to complete anytime here. We recommend completing an application so if NSLP/USDA decides to continue with the P-EBT program they rolled out last year for families.
