KEY LESSONS
- The key lesson is the effective engagement/dialogue between civil and Government, and why and how the evidence based data can influence better government than just engaging with assumptions.
- Commitment on policies made by Governments are in most cases a basis for framework, but their implementation rely on the responsibility of the civil society
- The Scorecard is not designed as a kind of “external evaluation” ranking countries. Rather it is understood as a tool for promoting and facilitating dialogue between Civil Society Organizations (CSO) and governments The LPI explicitly calls for monitoring and tracking of key indicators for progress and encourages broad participation.
