Spring Lake Park High School Seniors and Families:

Between the warm weather, end of year events and senior celebrations, we can feel the excited energy from the Class of 2021 as they approach the end of the school year and graduation. This week, we have a few important updates for our seniors and families. Find these updates and information on end of year senior activities and events at

  • Cap and gown distribution - Wednesday, May 19, 2021: We will distribute caps and gowns this Wednesday, noon-4 p.m., in the Fine Arts Center. Seniors will be able to pick up and/or purchase their cap and gown and any additional honor cords or tassels they may be eligible for. These items also will be available for purchase in the main office after Wednesday.
  • Yard signs: After the last senior meeting earlier this month, students gathered on the stadium field to pick up their yard/window signs provided by the Panther Foundation. Seniors who were unable to attend that event may pick up their sign from the main office. If a family would like an additional yard sign, they are available for purchase at the high school Panther Store.
  • Last Day of School - Thursday, June 10, 2021 – graduation rehearsal and iPad turn-in event: On the last day of school, Thursday, June 10, seniors will participate in a graduation rehearsal in the high school gym. Additionally, they will turn in their iPad, case, and official Apple charger. If you don’t know where all of those items currently are, we encourage you to start looking to avoid any fees and ensure a smooth turn-in process.
  • Graduation Ceremony - Friday, June 11, 2021, 7 p.m. at Mariucci Arena (University of Minnesota – Twin Cities): I had a chance to tour Mariucci Arena last week with a few of our staff, and we are confident Mariucci will be a wonderful place to honor and celebrate our Class of 2021. Mariucci has loosened many of their COVID-19 restrictions and there will be no ticket limit for family and friends. All family and friends are welcome to attend the ceremony. We will provide further information around parking and event protocols well in advance of June 11.

Stay tuned for more important information in our next update and be sure to check out the awesome photos from the yard sign pick up event below!
