The immune system is a system of structures and processes within an organism that protects against disease.
active immunity- results from the production of antibodies in response to the presence of an antigen.
passive immunity- results from the introduction of antibodies from another person or animal.

antibody- immunity conferred to an individual through the activity of B cells and their progeny.
Explain why antibiotics are effective against bacteria but not against viruses.
Antibiotics are produced by microorganisms to kill or control the growth of other microorganisms by blocking metabolic pathways in the cell. Viruses cannot be treated with antibiotics as it is impossible to harm the virus without harming the human cells.Disorders in the immune system
