Principal Point
I hope you and your loved ones are healthy and well. As we approach the Thanksgiving break and a return to virtual only learning, I want to share some important dates and information. We have really enjoyed having our students back in the building during our hybrid learning, and this time has been important for relationship building and student / teacher rapport. Our teachers feel like they now have a face behind the computer screen, and a better understanding of their students. I hope our students have felt the same connection and sense of normalcy. It's hard to be pivoting again back to virtual only. Our staff, and our district leadership care deeply about the academic, social and emotional toll that this is having on our families. We have seen community spread increase dramatically, and also an increase in cases and quarantines in our schools. It has become increasingly difficult to operate, and the safety of our students, families and staff are the utmost concern. I am hopeful that we have been able to set a better foundation for our students over the past few weeks, and that moving back into virtual learning over the holiday season will help flatten the curve. We are going to soak it in this week, enjoy the time with our students, and reinforce the expectations for virtual learning. I very much appreciate the patience and support we've received from our community. Together we will get through this!

We only have three weeks between Thanksgiving and Winter break, and this is also the end of our semester. Our teachers and staff recognize how difficult virtual learning has been for a myriad of reasons. Our students should now be equipped with a device and wifi, please let us know if this remains a barrier. Our students have also now had time to do both virtual and in person learning with their teachers. We are hoping to set firmer expectations and work diligently with our students to improve their learning experience. Please see the virtual learning expectations below, and communicate with our counselors or myself if you have concerns.
-charge device overnight.
-get prepared for the day, have a good workspace.
-google meet every period, everyday.
