WEEKLY MEAL KITS
Sedro-Woolley School District recently announced that all students in grades Kindergarten-12th grade will be able to attend school onsite five days per week, beginning April 19th. With this announcement, meal kits will only be available for those students who do not have access to breakfast and lunch onsite, including all students participating in remote learning and children in the community under the age of 18 who are not yet enrolled in school or do not have access to USDA-sponsored meal programs at their schools. Meal kits are free of charge through August 2021.
There will be one meal kit pick up location at Cascade Middle School from 4-5pm beginning on Wednesday, April 21st. Meal kits include five breakfasts and five lunches. Please complete the pre-order meal form by 3pm on Sundays for pick up the following week. This process will allow our Food Service team to prepare meals to order, and hopefully reduce waste.
When picking up meal kits, we ask that you wear a mask and stand six feet apart from those outside your household if waiting in line. Parents and guardians will be able to pick up meal boxes for multiple children, but must be able to provide the names of all students for whom they wish to pick up meals.
Recipe ideas using school meal kit ingredients as well as instructions for how to cook some of the items you will receive in the meal kits.
Pre-Order Meal Form (for pick up on Wednesday, June 9th. Please note: This is the last week of meal kit pick up before the end of the school year. This kit will include 7 breakfasts and 7 lunches to get students through the end of the school year.
The Summer Food Service Program will begin June 28th. More details will be released soon.
