MyLibraryNYC
We’re distributing library cards to our new students. If you have library cards from last year please distribute or return them to the library. All teachers should receive their cards by the end of April. Cards will be placed in the main office mailbox in your respective schools.
Students that have not received cards should fill out this form http://bit.ly/1jHX6MR . Once the form is filled out, cards will be processed and distributed.

• Each student is allowed to select two free books.
• Students must have a clear account – no over-dues or lost books
• A few titles are only for our HS students
Library Scheduling
If you would like to schedule a visit to our library please complete the Class Visit Form. Once the form is submitted you can email the librarian to include additional details or make additional inquiries.
EasyBib
We have a subscription to the School Edition of EasyBib, thanks to NewVisions. The school edition includes an APA citation creator, allows students to share their work with their teacher, and includes additional research tools.

Most of our new computers are up and running. We expect to receive the rest of our tech resources throughout the month of April. Lessons will be created to help our students become more research ready.
It’s a book !
Our final book order has been placed. We were able to purchase most of the items requested by staff and students. Look out for our new additions to the collection in the coming months.

Online Quizzes and Assessments
Google Forms – my “go to” quiz maker that is simple to set up, creates great charts, is exportable to an Excel file, and can be accessed via almost every device.
Socrative – simple to use and trusted by many teachers, has a “race” setting where students can compete, and can be done on any device.
Geddit – a new platform that teachers have my school have enjoyed using – and so have the students.
Common Core Resources
Better Lesson - They just published over 3,000 complete Common Core-aligned lessons from 130 Master Teachers.
Thinkfinity (by Verizon) - Click on “Resources” and search for CCSS lessons/resources by the actual standards!
MasteryConnect - Although the do have “paid” plans, the free plan is perfect for getting started and finding what other are doing with the Common Core.
