NEWS, RESOURCES AND LEARNING FOR PANTHER STAFF, 4/8/19
ANNOUNCEMENTS for Week of April 15-19, 2019
THANK YOU : Thank you so much for all of the cards, candy, and well wishes extended to us from the students and staff last week. We appreciate each and every card. One of the most endearing said, "Mr. Bylies and Ms. Frik, Thak you for what you bun." (corrected to dun as the b was backwards.) We were also told we were "awesome," "the best ever," "the best in the universe," "tall," and "your the bestest ever made." We appreciated lunch from the office staff, and the beautiful cake, which we were glad everyone could share. We appreciate you all, too, and "you all are the bestest ever."
HOLIDAY: Friday, April 19, 2019 school is closed. Enjoy your time off!
PANORAMA EDUCATION FAMILY SURVEY CONTINUES: Please encourage your families to complete the Panarama Education Survey launched this week. Each family receives a personal email with a link. It is important that we have many surveys completed. We sent out a general link for those that didn't get a personal email in Tuesday folders.
END OF YEAR PDP and SUMMATIVE EVALUATION/CONFERENCE INFORMATION -
We are currently scheduling end of year conferences. Please send your information early if possible so that we can meet prior to the deadline. If you are tracking out, we'd like to complete your conference prior to Thursday. Please email is with concerns. If you have not shared your digital planbook with Ms. Fricke, please do so. If you elected not to use digital planbooks this year, please bring your lesson plan book to your conference. The following information was sent out regarding PDPs and Summative Conferences...
- End of Year PDPs are due in NCEES on or before Monday, April 8, 2019 for Beginning teachers, and Monday, April 22, 2019 for all other teachers. To complete this, reference your mid-year PDP goals and enter comments about what you did/didn't do to meet those goals. Be sure to reference any Global courses that you completed. Be sure to mark your work "complete" and that you have a "green check" when you are finished.
- The Summative Data Artifact Sheet Standards I-V is also due on or before Monday, April 8, 2019 for Beginning teachers, and Monday, April 22, 2019 for all other teachers. Please email your Summative Data Artifact Sheet to Lara at (lfricke@wcpss.net.) You can find this document at the link below the PUE Master Folder. If you have trouble accessing it or need help, please let me know. The document is editable- which means someone can alter it by accident. So, please COPY it before you enter text. IF YOU HAVE A GOOGLE LINK TO YOUR WORK that you would like to include on the document, please put the link on the top of the document. Sharing a google file is a great way to include pictures and large data files. If you do so, remember that pictures without comments or information about how the activity relates to the standards is not clear evidence.
