Updates for Stilwell Junior High School Families
October 31, 2022
Message from Principal Kuhnert
Families,
Next week we will kick off our Stilwell Fall Fundraiser. This is our only fundraiser that funds all our extra activities and sports at Stilwell. The link below is a letter that explains the fundraiser. This is a donation-only fundraiser where all of the proceeds come to Stilwell. Monday, during tiger time, students will learn about the fundraiser and bring home materials to work with their families in identifying who they could ask for donations. Friday during tiger time, students will work to reach out to the contacts. More information is in the link below.

School Highlights
Card Club:
Like to play cards? Have cards but don't know how to play? Join the Card Club every Tuesday from 2:40-3:40 in Mr.Schill's room. We play card games like Magic the Gathering and Pokemon or board games like Monopoly to Settlers of Catan. All card and board games are welcome. Please reach out to Mr. Schill if you have any questions. Hope to see you there!
New Roof:
Stilwell and several other school that were impacted by the hail storm in September are getting their roofs replaced the same as many of the surrounding homes. This work will start mid- November and will impact our classrooms with noise. We need to get this done before it gets too cold. The good news the impact to our parking lot and space around the building will remain in the current construction site. We will only be impacted by trucks dropping off materials and the removal of the old roof. Please continue to be patient with all of the construction.
Musical:
Thank you for attending last weekend. The directors and students all apreciate the support families provide. It was a great show! We are excited to see that this week they started putting up the walls of the new auditorium!
Winter is Coming!:
Some notes to our families as the weather turns colder. We do still have students wait outside unless they come in to eat breakfast so wear jackets, hats, and gloves. We do not allow students to have blankets during the school day so again dress in warmer clothes if you are cold during the day.
