A Note from Ms. Marlatt
Dear Second Creek families,
We can officially say now that we have made it!!! Summer Break starts now!
I want to thank you for your partnership this year, and for all of the things we were able to accomplish together.
I also want to share the line up of new teachers for next year. We are excited to welcome new staff and have a fresh start!

All, with the exception of Ms. Lowen (who retired) , have moved to new teaching adventures.
We look forward to some rest and are excited for what's to come! We will see you all on Back-to-School night!

Even though Chromebook are not going home with students this summer, Lexia and Dreambox programs can still be accessed with home computers, Anythink library computers or iPads.

Youth Summer Opportunities
The City of Brighton is recruiting for several exciting programs: The Brighton Youth Commission, The Brighton Youth Corps of Volunteers and the Growing Grads Entrepreneur Program.
Each of these are amazing opportunities for young people to have fun and grow as a leader. Please see flyers below for details:
Girls on the Run
- For girls entering 3rd-5th grade
- 10 weeks; 2x a week practice
- Practice begins the week of 9/11/23
- $95 per girl (scholarships available) (includes the 5k race at the end of the season)
- practices will be 2X a week - 3:30pm to 4:30pm (days TBD)
- 16 open spots right now. '
I have a feeling the 16 spots will be gone soon, so if you are thinking about this for your daughter (s), don't delay!

The Landing Place Church has donated brand new playground equipment to our student. They have donated our blue safety vests that staff wears. They gave also donated goodies and burritos to feed all of our staff. Recently, they donated all of our student yard signs for next year's celebrations.
