Chromebook Check-In This Week to Prepare for ACAP Summative State Testing
Students at Corner Middle School will take the Alabama Comprehensive Assessment Program (ACAP) Summative tests the week they return from spring break on April 3rd. In order to prepare our school's technology for our students' use. As a result, we will take up their school-issued devices (Chromebooks) this week in order to clean, update the apps, and assure they are charged leading up the state tests. We will use the following week to accomplish this task.
Please assist us by having your student bring his/her Chromebook and charge cord on Thursday and Friday of this week. Fifth and sixth grade students will turn their devices in on Thursday and seventh and eighth grade students will turn their devices in on Friday.
Following the completion of state tests, the devices will be located in the students' classrooms for use for the remainder of the school year. Students may keep their cases for use during the next school year. If families have any questions, please contact Mr. Manning at the school at 205-379-3230 or at mmanning@jefcoed.com.
Next week, we will begin sharing best practices on how families can help us as we approach state testing for spring of 2023.
