This is an optional activity. There will be a parade for PK-2nd grade students during school hours. The parade will be recorded for parents to view afterwards.
Rules for costumes:

Reminders for our Crockett Families:
Student headphones must be brought to school daily
We are asking each student to bring in a pair of headphones or earbuds that could be plugged into an Apple iPad. For health reasons, it is important that students have their own headphones or earbuds so they are not sharing with other students.
Please send the headphones or earbuds in a zippered plastic baggie labeled with your child’s name or you may write your child's name directly on the headphones.Attendance Matters!
Parents, please click on the link below to review tips to help you and your child maintain a good attendance record. Research supports that attendance directly affects academic achievement. We need our students to be healthy and present to maximize their learning. https://bit.ly/3u6iF0U

GCCISD Covid-19 Safe Return to School Plan 2021-22
Self-Assessments - Students and staff should conduct daily self-assessments and stay home if ill or exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms. Staff and students may return to school once 24 hours have passed with no fever and symptoms have improved.
Positive COVID Tests & Reporting - Individuals who have close contact with someone testing positive for COVID-19 should report to the school nurse, Ms. Dube, and also consider self-isolating for 14 days from the date of last contact and should also consider wearing a face mask if returning to school/work prior to the quarantine period. GCCISD will continue to communicate positive COVID-19 cases using the COVID Dashboard.
Face Coverings & Desk Shields - Face coverings, masks and desk shields are currently optional as this time. CDC is recommending the use of masks, while indoors, due to the rapid spread of the delta variant.
Visitors/Family Members - Visitors will be allowed at the second semester of school.
Safety Precautions - GCCISD will continue to implement safety protocols to help reduce the spread of COVID-19 which include the following: sanitizer and cleaning supplies in all classrooms, sanitize high touch surfaces through out the day, sanitize/deep clean classrooms if there has been known COVID exposure, sanitizing buses between shifts, and educating students on proper use of and staff monitoring use of water fountains.

For the safety of students and parents we ask that you do not pull around vehicles. Some parents and students exit on the left sides of their vehicles. Lastly, if your child is able to safely and independently open their car doors, please allow them to do so when your vehicle comes to a stop. You do not have to wait until a staff member opens it.

ENGAGING PARENTS AND FAMILIES IN EDUCATION SERIES
What Parents and Professionals Need to Know About Mental Health?
At least 1 in 5 school-aged children is affected by a mental health condition. The two most common conditions among children and adolescents are anxiety followed by depression, but children can have other difficulties that affect their ability to fully take part in and benefit from their classroom experiences.
If your child’s mental health condition is affecting their functioning at school, join us via Webex as we explore what parents and professionals need to know about mental health on Thursday, Oct. 28, 2021 from 9:00AM - 10:00AM (Live Session) & Recorded Session available upon request. Session offered both in English and Spanish.
