Curriculum Preview

We adjusted the date for Curriculum Preview. It will now be on Thursday, September 9, 2021 beginning at 6:00 pm. This will be a virtual presentation by the teachers. More information will be coming from your child's teacher.

Social Emotional Learning Opportunities

This year we will offer a class to support the social emotional needs of our students. Our Social Emotional Learning class is a pilot program designed to target students who will benefit from more direct instruction targeting specific skills, as well as providing coaching and practice around social emotional well-being. Students taking our Social Emotional class will come on either A/C or B/D days, and it will be in place of one of their specials.


How can my child access this class?

You will need to fill out this application. Applications are due by Friday, September 3rd. If selected, you will be contacted to provide some more information and decide which special your student will drop in order to be placed into our Social Emotional Class.

Information that is emailed to parents will automatically go to the Primary Parent as designated in Final Forms.

Car Rider Pickup

We will again be using the "Parent Pick up Tags" for Car Riders. One new numbered car tag was mailed to each Greene family. Please note: if you have a tag from last year, please discard it.

Final Forms - please check and update your information

Please check and update your student information on Final Forms.


As in the past, we need ALL parents or guardians to log into Final Forms and update any necessary changes for our 2021 - 2022 school year ASAP. That way, any potential issues/problems/questions can be addressed before our return to school at the end of August. Some forms require a student signature. The Covid-19 Parent Agreement must be signed before the school year begins. You are required to sign the forms at the beginning of each new school year. A signature is also required after any update or as additional forms are added.


Please be sure to go to the "Transportation Information" section in Final Forms. Here you may give permission to those who may pick up your child from school, and designate emergency contacts. Please be sure to "check" all those who will be able to pick up your child from school. Thank you.

Updating Parenting plans and copied on correspondance

If appropriate, please provide the office with custody information and updated parenting plans for your child. Please indicate if you would like to be "copied on correspondence."

Medication Drop Off

If your child takes daily mediations at school or has emergency mediations to be dropped off, you may bring the medication along with the doctor's medication order to the clinic between August 23 - August 26 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.


Immunizations - If you are new to the district, please provide a copy of your child's most current immunizations. Feel free to reach out to the school nurse if you have any questions: Laurie Dobrowolski BSN, RN, LSN dobrowolskil@sycamoreschools.org , phone 513-686-1753, and FAX 513-792-6172.

If your child takes medication at school, please complete the medication order form and return to Laurie Dobrowolski, the school nurse. This form must be completed for daily medications, over the counter and emergency medications needed at school. Students are not allowed to transport their own medication to school.

Important Information about Free and Reduced Fees and Programming.

For the 2021-22 school year MEALS ARE FREE FOR ALL STUDENTS! The US Department of Agriculture has extended its Nationwide Waiver to Allow the Seamless Summer Option through the upcoming school year.


While this means that completion of the free and reduced application isn’t needed to qualify for free meals, there are other reasons you may wish to complete the form for your family. Eligibility for other programs is based on the income information included in the free and reduced meals application.


It is important to complete for your family or child(ren) :


1. To qualify for Pandemic EBT

2. To carry over free or reduced “status” into the first 30 days of the 2022-23 school year

3. To have school fees waived for the 2021-22 school year, including academic fees, summer school tuition, full day kindergarten tuition, extracurricular fees and PTO led assistance programs. (if you are determined to be income eligible, you will be required to complete a second form to allow this information to be shared with those responsible for these programs.)


You only need to complete this application for the 2021-22 school year if one of the following pertains to you: ∙ You are new to the district and believe that your income qualifies your family.


∙ You do not qualify automatically through participation in SNAP

∙ Your family circumstances have changed. (ie. new family members living in the household, change in combined family income, or you believe you would now qualify when you did not in the past)


The free and reduced priced meals form can be completed and submitted online by visiting

https://www.payschoolscentral.com or can be processed through the Sycamore Schools App. You will have the opportunity to also complete and submit a school fees waiver at the same time.


You do not need to submit the free and reduced price meals application this school year if you were approved for free or reduced price meals during the 2019-20 AND/OR the 2020-21 school year. The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has given districts permission to carry these meal status’ over to this school year. If you qualified for free or reduced price meals during either the 2019-20 and/or 2020-21 school year and your status is being carried over, you should have received an email inviting you to fill out a new Authorization to Share Information Form. This is important for fee waiver purposes. If you did not receive a link to the online Google Form and feel as though you should have, please email spyroua@sycamoreschools.org
