Transportation Reminders

As we finish our 1st month of school, we are excited to say our dismissal and transportation needs have improved. We thank you for your patience as we continue to perfect our routines. Also, if you have transportation changes, please call the front office at 281-897-4500 before 2:30 p.m. to make the change.

Car Rider Procedures:

  • Morning Drop -Off: Those parents that provide transportation for their children are asked to use the appropriate drop-off/pick-up location which is at the front of the school. For the safety of our students, they should NOT be dropped off and left at the front or back covered areas before 7:45 a.m. Due to daily preparations that must be made by staff, students will be unsupervised if dropped off before 7:45 a.m. Club Rewind is available for those parents needing morning or afternoon care. For more information, please visit the district website, https://www.ezchildtrack.com/cfisdclubrewind/parent

  • Afternoon Pick-Up: When picking up your child, we ask that you wait patiently in your car until he/she is released and loaded. Please hang your car rider number on your rearview mirror so that it is visible to the staff member gathering numbers. Once your child is loaded into your car, pull the car rider number from your mirror; this will signal to the staff person that your child is safely loaded into your car and we are ready to move forward. A staff member will be present at the beginning of the line to signal when to STOP and when to GO.

Bus Information:

Please review the information in the flyer below regarding the tracking of your students bus ridership. Through your student's ID badge you are able to track when and where your child gets on and off the bus. In the flyer, it will explain how to get the app or you can visit www.zpassplus.com for more information.

College Week

The week of October 4th - October 8th we will be celebrating "College Week" with dress up days for each day of the week. A flyer will be sent home next week with students outlining the theme for the day.

Parent Lunches

This year Emmott will be focusing on establishing our cafeteria procedures and building our culture of EAGLE PRIDE during grade level lunches. As part of our mission to establish effective routines during lunch and build campus community within the first nine weeks, our parent lunches will BEGIN on Tuesday, Sept. 28th. We will have two days available for lunch visitors, Tuesdays and Thursdays. This year we will be encouraging our parent/student lunch tables to serve as a PHONE FREE ZONE. We ask that if you choose to have lunch with your child during their lunch period, that our EAGLE PRIDE continues and you allow your child to teach you our EMMOTT ways and share the great things happening in their classrooms, through positive conversations!

This year we will not be able to accommodate student drop off lunches. There are several factors that may interrupt the transfer of lunches to students at the specific grade level lunchtime. For this reason, we ask that you visit the CFISD lunch menu options in the event your child will need to select a cafeteria lunch.

Thanks in advance for your cooperation and understanding as we establish procedures and expectations for our students.
