Week 13 ROAR!
Waterbury Community,
This was the first full week of all K-5 students who have returned to in-person learning. It’s been a success!
For our remote students and families, a survey was sent out earlier about how to ensure we are meeting your child’s needs. We continue to look for ways to support you. This survey represents the first step in trying to identify ways to connect.
Next week is a busy week! We have our PTO meeting on Monday, November 16th. If you wish to attend, please email Vanessa Murphy at Vanessa_Murphy@outlook.com for the password.
This Monday, November 16th, we will have Supply Pick Up *for remote students only*
On Tuesday, we have our Family Reading Night from 6:30-7:30. We look forward to seeing you on zoom!
And while it’s not next week, we have our Parent/Teacher Conferences on November 23rd and 24th, please make sure you sign up for a time slot.
Thanks and have a great day,
Dr. Jon Pokora

COVID-19 cases are increasing in our community
As we near flu season and activities are moving indoors we need your help to keep everyone safe.
Please consider the following when attending school events:
★ Stay home when appropriate – experiencing new symptoms (including fever, cough, headache, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, congestion, runny nose, fatigue, body aches, loss of taste or small and abdominal pain), exposure to someone who tested positive for COVID-19, or are awaiting COVID-19 test results.
★ Wear a mask and socially distance at all times
★ Practice frequent hand hygiene
★ IT TAKES MULTIPLE LAYERS TO PROTECT AGAINST COVID-19.
I also attached the latest exclusion guide that I am utilizing to make decisions regarding daily attendance in our building. Hopefully, it will offer some insight as to why individuals are asked to stay home for a bit.
