Reading with the Ducklings
Take time to read 2 books with your child, one fiction and one non-fiction. Put your child's first name and the book title on the ducks you received, yellow for the fiction book and blue for the non-fiction book.
Ducks will be displayed on the foyer bulletin board and everyone will see what good readers the Hackmann Ducklings are!
READING 100 Celebration
Reading 100 Celebration is coming to an end! Our goal is to get 100 families to read 100 books to celebrate our 100 Year Anniversary. We are just short of our goal! Now is the time to complete your reading. We have many families who have read 3 quarters and are so close to finishing! If you are unsure of the number of books that we have recorded, please contact Debbie Bledsoe in the office. (636-851-6084 or deborah.bledsoe@fhsdschools.org) Books will be handed out the end of next week to those children who have completed their reading.
PIZZA PARTY
We will be using our leftover party money to have a pizza party for our students! This Thursday (May 14) and next Monday (May 18) we will be serving pizza from Little Casers during class to celebrate a great year!
FIELD DAYS!
We will be having ‘Field Days’ at Francis Howell North’s fields on May 19th and 20th. We are asking for donations of big bottles of bubbles to use on those days. Baseball, soccer, bubbles, and many other fun activities are planned for the day! Be sure to have children wear tennis shoes, appropriate clothing and sun screen!
