THE GREAT SHAKE OUT DRILL-OCTOBER 20-RESULTS
THE GREAT SHAKE OUT DRILL-OCTOBER 20
We had a very successful earthquake drill this past Thursday, October 20. The one item that our safety team did recommend was to resend our request for students to turn in a small ziploc bag of some items to maintain in the classroom in the event of an emergency. (BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR THE FLYER TO GO OUT TOMORROW and PLEASE SEND IN A ZIPLOC BAG FILLED EMERGENCY KIT FOR YOUR CHILD AT YOUR EARLIEST CONVENIENCE-THANK YOU) At this time we have only a limited number of students that submitted their emergency supply bags. Keep in mind that the school is prepared with some food items and water supplies for several days in the event of a major emergency, but we know that every little bit can help prepare for the unexpected. Please take the time to review the flyer below and send in some items to store in our classrooms for your children.
We would also like to encourage you and your family to have a discussion on what to do in the event of an emergency. We would also like to encourage all families to maintain some emergency supplies at home in the event a major emergency occurs. I have attached some resources that you can utilize with your family.
Thank you and together let's strive to be prepared and safe.
