This November 5th Professional Development Day will be dedicated to exploring and integrating technology in our schools. We will begin by examining the Massachusetts Technology Literacy Standards and Expectations to determine what students should know and be able to do in each grade span. In a workshop setting, all staff members will have the opportunity to participate in hour-long sessions of their choice to support their individual technology needs. Math teachers will be required to participate in one workshop to explore and implement the new Mathematics program.

Introduction to Edline Website Design

Facilitators: Greg Williams, Lori Jewett, Alycia Ogg, Patty Illingsworth, Beth Perron

Have you been wanting to get your edline website up and running but just don't know where to start? This is your chance to design a basic site and have your questions answered by one of the facilitators. This workshop is for those staff members who have not yet created a website on edline, and for those who could use more design instruction.

Advanced Features of Edline Website

Facilitators: Derek Kerns, John Berneche

If you have already created an edline website and feel comfortable with its basic functions, but would like to know how to use the advanced features, this is the workshop for you. These facilitators will show you how to use the interactive features of edline such as the homework hand-in, discussion forums, uploading / creating quizzes and more.

Lesson Planning with Edline

Facilitator: Cindy Kwajewski

Did you know that you can create lesson plans in your edline account? This feature is available in your Edline GradeQuick account and lets you scope out what you are teaching by unit, or week. Once the scope is set, you can enter the details as to how you plan to teach and assess your students. This hour-long workshop will guide you through the set-up and will offer time for you to ask questions and practice.

Representatives from WGBY will demonstrate how to customize the PBS LearningMedia™ experience, which provides educators with a variety of strategies, tools, and professional development resources needed to fully utilize digital learning.

Set aside a little time today to catch up with David L. for a demonstration on how to use our copier to scan documents and save to your account. This time-saving feature will allow you to digitize all of your documents and then load them onto your Edline website.
