If your child has had diarrhea or has vomited at home, please stay home until symptoms have disappeared for 24 hours without medication. Many students with a stomach virus DO NOT HAVE FEVER even when they have diarrhea and vomiting. If they have had a fever at home, they must be without it for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. Please see the regulations in "Health Services" for more information.

Also if your child has been diagnosed with the flu, please call the school and notify us. Thank you for your cooperation and support. Please do not hesitate to communicate with me if you have any questions or doubts.

Calling all our wonderful CPES Volunteers!

Volunteer help is really important to make any school year into a successful year. If you would like to volunteer at various classroom events and school events, help with your time/other donations throughout the coming school year, right now is the perfect time to let us know. All volunteers at CPES need to have their background check done before they can help us at school. Also PTO will need your contact information and availability/event preferences, for them to send you emails as and when they need help. Please follow BOTH links below and provide required information.

1. For Background clearance by TISD: please go to link below and fill up the form for volunteer opportunities.

2. For PTO database: please fill the form at link below. PTO uses it to contact you as and when the school needs volunteer help.

How to get involved if you are unable to volunteer

Unable to volunteer, not a problem!! Come join your kiddo(s) at their classroom parties, family school events & functions, and donate items to these school events & functions. The kids love having you around to participate in their school activities. Be on the lookout for weekly email updates by Mrs. Coleman or the teachers, PTO newsletter and Wednesday folder handouts for all that you need to know about what is on the horizon.
