News From Mrs. Bethune:
Hello all,
Yesterday you probably received an email and phone call from the school. This was an informational message sent from the school using School Messenger our new notification platform. We will be using this for emergency and non-emergency notifications to parents. You will have an opportunity soon to choose a text message option if that is something you are interested in doing. Please watch the newsletter for more information.
We have enjoyed seeing all of the parents at Parent Teacher Conferences. It is such a wonderful time to share in the education of your child(ren). Please be sure to stop by the book fair if you have not attended yet. It will be open through conferences and closed after that. We also have put out some forms for teammates, Dillon scholarship, and clubs on a table in the atrium. Mr. Mackling is also available in the computer lab to help with PowerSchool sign up and My School Bucks sign up. This newsletter will contain information on the clubs and what you can do to get your child signed up. Clubs will begin the first week of October.
We hope you have a great long weekend and we look forward to seeing everyone again on Monday.
God Bless,
Mrs. Leah Bethune

Box Tops
Once again this year we are collecting Box Tops for Education. Last year we collected a little over 11,000 Box Tops.
This year our goal as a school is 14,000 Box Tops. Over the summer we collected over 1,000 Box Tops, so we are off to a great start!
As the school collects these Box Tops the students will earn the following rewards:
3,500 (25%) – Extra Recess
7,000 (50%) – Music playing during Lunch
10,500 (75%) – Spirit Day
14,000 (100%)– All School Movie and Popcorn in the Gym
Please have your children turn their Box Tops to their teachers or the office.
For more information on Box Tops for Education and participating products, go to BTFE.com. Be sure to sign up as a member (it’s free) and you get access to coupons and bonus offers.
Encourage your family and friends to save Box Tops for our school. Remember each one is worth 10 cents!
Celebrating Nebraska's State Sesquicentennial
With Nebraska celebrating the State’s Sesquicentennial this year, including everything from Serving Nebraska through volunteering, a One State One Book initiative, tree planting for the future, a Union Pacific Streamliner locomotive from the past traversing the state, to a YouTube Channel dedicated to “Now You Know Nebraska”, we have Saluted the Good Life that Nebraska has to offer us from one end of the state to the other.
Now let’s do it at the Capitol with Fireworks, Music, and Food (how else would Nebraskans Celebrate): Salute to the Good Life Friday 9/22/17.
Life Chain
Life Chain is Sunday October 1st from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. St. Patrick's is assigned the south side of "O" Street from 48th to 50th streets. Please take this opportunity for you and your family to pray and make a silent, visual statement of support for preborn children. Signs appropriate for Life Chain will be available. As you may be aware Life Chain is always the first Sunday in October and is observed across our nation and and internationally. Young children need to be in strollers or otherwise sufficiently restrained from traffic. Parking is available around closed businesses at 50th & O and on streets south of 50th and O.
