President's Update
Do you ever wonder if your purchase of treats during the Winter Concert Bake Sales or grabbing dinner at Chipotle during last week's Dine Out Fundraiser or submitting your neatly clipped BoxTops during the Fall BoxTops for Education fundraiser go a long way in supporting McKinley? The answer is with out a doubt, YES! Here is what each of these recent fundraisers have raised for our school:
Winter Concert Bake Sales - Total Raised $850
Fall BoxTops for Education Fundraiser - Total Raised $794

Thank to to our fantastic Chairs who run these events: Lori Brandenburg (Winter Concert Bake Sales), Sarah Atols (BoxTops for Education) and Dana Wurzburger (Dine Out). Another huge thank you to everyone who participates in our McKinley fundraisers. Your support goes a long way!

Bottle Drive Through Monday, January 29th
Will you help us do even more good for our planet?
The Green Team is endeavoring upon the creation of bottle bricks. Bottle bricks are a building material we can easily make from recyclable and non-recyclable materials. In warmer parts of the world, many structures are made using Bottle bricks. The main material we need from you is clean, hard plastic bottles. The 16 oz size will work best, but we may be able to use 2 liters, as well. Think plastic soda bottles. Nothing smaller than 16 oz and no soft or thin plastic bottles, please. Our Bottle Drive will start Monday, January 8th and run through Monday, January 29th. Bottles will be collected by classroom. Please place the bottles in the large plastic bag located in the hallway outside your child's classroom. The class collecting the most bottles will receive a popcorn party as a reward for their work. Any questions, please email or call Ms. Leigh: leighje@wauwatosa.k12.wi.us

Appraisers Needed for Destination Imagination Tournament!
McKinley's Destination Imagination teams are at it again! Coming off an amazing first year, this year's teams are working hard to make Friends Everywhere to make an Inside Impact while brainstorming an Unlikely Attraction and trying not to go too Maze Craze-d!! Intrigued? The kids will be presenting all their hard work at the regional Destination Imagination tournament on Saturday February 24 at Muskego High School. The tournament is in need of volunteer appraisers (a kinder, gentler word for 'judges') to help appraise all the teams presenting. It will likely be an all-day commitment. Each school with teams represented at the tournament are encouraged to find appraisers. Interested? Contact Monica Deluhery at monica.deluhery@gmail.com.
