A Peek Into Our Week

Welcome Back!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful break and are ready for an exciting, new year!

We will get busy right away transforming the cottage into a winter wonderland. Over the next several weeks, we will explore winter habitats, animals, author studies and much more as we move forward with this year's skills and objectives.

We will be rescheduling our fajita lunch due to our DRR Team assisting with the tornado victim relief efforts all of this week.

All students will need to bring their own lunches or place orders with Signature Services for Friday.

Rest Time Towels

After a long break, we know it's hard to remember everything. And, unfortunately, the hammocks and beach locale we ordered have not arrived yet. In the meantime, please be sure to send your child with his/her fresh, trusty ole' rest towel.

¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

Students in EC Spanish were busy celebrating la Navidad before our holiday break and will begin celebrating el Día de los Tres Reyes or the Day of the Three Kings as we begin 2016! Before the holiday break PreK children began our unit on la comida, food. The children love performing our skit El Restaurante Pollo Verde, The Green Chicken restaurant! They did a beautiful job serving each other and learning how to order food in Spanish. The children love singing El Chocolate and Nochebuena (Christmas Eve) songs written and composed by José Luis Orozco. The Spanish lyrics teach the children Hispanic culture traditions, for instance eating buñuelos on Christmas Eve. Children in Early Childhood are enjoying the Spanish language and its culture!

Happy Birthday!
