Lesson 8 EEOC: Discrimination
Race/Religion
You can discriminate from a person race like if a business won't hire you because you are african american you are being discriminated against because you are african american. Or if you go and apply for a job where most of the people are christian and you are not and they don't hire you because of that. You are being discriminated against because you are not christian mostly because you don't believe in their religion.
Age
If a company won't hire you because they think that you are to old to work there then you are being discriminated against. Mostly because they are basing on whether they hire you or they don't based on how old you are in which that isn't fair because you could be a really hard worker that makes sure you do everything to your full extent but they won't hire you because they think you are to old.
Gender
Then if a company hires based on you gender and you don't get the job because you are male or female you are being discriminated against because of your gender. Like say a company if hiring for stockers for a store then you and a man apply the man gets hired but you don't because you are a female and they don't think you can do that much because of your gender.
