Getting Ready for Week 3

For Your Reference

Hi, everyone. I enjoyed the discussions in class last week and all of you had great ideas as you started preparing for your unit plan. I thought it might be helpful to summarize our second class and next steps to prepare for our third. I am not announcing anything new, but wanted to organize reminders and preparation tips since you are juggling so much this semester. I hope your weekend has been refreshing.

The Top Priority: Work Sample Unit

Throughout the semester, make certain that you are giving plenty of time and attention to the work sample unit. It will be a great opportunity to show off how much you know about effective instruction. Study the rubrics carefully and self-assess to make certain that you address the required elements. Quick reminders for Checkpoint 1 are below.

Work Sample Reminders

Our focus lesson on blendspace for this week is Goal Setting and Outcomes. You will notice two new options. The first resource is a text update from me. It gives you some information on how to process the resources. Secondly, I used the "quiz" feature to get some input from you. It's NOT a quiz and WON'T be graded. It's just a quick and fun way to gather information on how you interpret the resources. As always, you don't have to read every resource from start to finish in order to participate.

Interactive Notebook

Interactive notebooks are beginning to take shape. The information below summarizes where we are.
