About Dr.King

Dr.Martin Luther King Jr was a Non-Violent protest leader that wanted freedom and equality for African Americans around him. He was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi , and spoke power words acts of Non-Violent. His goal was to have every one treat each other as they would wanted to be treated. Martin Luther King had a family , he was married and two kids

  1. King's Accomplishments .Martin Luther KIngs Jr. was a well-known civil rights leader and activist who had a great deal of influence on American society in the 1950s and 1960s. His strong belief in non-violent protest helped set the tone of the movement.Boycotts, protests, and marches were eventually effective, and much legislation was passed against racial discrimination.


    • Being an advocate for nonviolent protest in the Memphis sanitation worker strike
    • Providing leadership in the Montgomery bus boycott of 1955
    • His famous "I Have a Dream" speech
    • Being instrumental in establishing the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, which was a civil rights organization that supported the philosophy of non-violence

I Have A Dream Speech

The "I Have A Dream Speech " is a famous speech by Dr. King. Where nearly a quarter of a million people gathered for a March for Jobs and Freedom to urge Congress and President John F. Kennedy to pass a national civil rights bill.
