Cohort Meetings for all Students Complete
Students in Cohorts 2025 & 2026 (11th and 10th grades) participated in their first cohort meeting. Students learned about the ABCDs of Graduation at Bryan Adams.
Students should follow the following when it comes to graduating successfully at Bryan Adams:
A) Attendance - No more than 4 absences (Excused or Unexcused) per semester. Students who have 5 or more absences will lose credit for the semester. If a student has an extenuating circumstance, please reach out to the Cohort administrator and counselor.
B) Behavior - All students must follow the DISD Code of Conduct. All behavior will be addressed using the District's Code of Conduct.
C) Credits - All students must have the CORRECT credits to graduate. While the minimum is 26 credits, they must be the correct credits that fall under the State of Texas's Recommended or Distinguished Graduation Plan.
D) Defenses - All students at Bryan Adams Leadership Academy must defend their Sophomore and Senior years. Defenses are required for students to participate in the commencement ceremonies.
S) STAAR - In order to receive a diploma in the State of Texas, all students are required to pass all five of their EOCs: English I, English II, Biology, Algebra I, and United Stated History.
BA's Expectations for Dress Code and Tardies
Not sure what your student needs to wear or when class begins? See the bell schedule and dress code flyer below!
Starting 8/25/2023 all students who arrive late with outside commercial food or drink must dispose of it before they enter the building. Random tardy sweeps will begin.
Starting 8/28/2023 all students who arrive late will be issued a "late pass" and parent contact will be made. Tardy Sweeps will be every period.
ATTENTION: Please strive to drop off your child or arrive to BA NO LATER than 8:40AM. This will ensure we can get everyone in on time and safely.
Students who continue to arrive late to class will face disciplinary consequences.
Starting Monday, 9/05/2023 any student not in full uniform (including ID) will not attend class until we have confirmed the student’s active enrollment and provide the student with a modified uniform loaner shirt and lanyard attire indicating the student is an active member of the Bryan Adams community. Students must provide collateral to use the loaner shirt.
Students can also buy a uniform shirt (cash only) in B108.
Students must begin to build habits and be accountable for daily expectations. Check your student’s attire daily and be available if we need to contact you regarding your student’s attire.
Students who continue to violate the dress code policy will face disciplinary consequences.
