A Letter From Our Superintendent
February 11, 2021
Dear Parent/Guardian,
This communication serves as an anticipated update to Policy #1648.02. The original policy allowed for the transition of all virtual students to hybrid, in-person instruction on a quarterly basis. The policy will be amended to allow for that transition to in-person instruction to occur on a monthly basis beginning with the month of March 2021.
You are in receipt of this communication because our records indicate that your child is currently coded as an all virtual student. Because of that you have the ability to request that your child transitions to hybrid in-person instruction. As part of Policy #1648.02 students moving to a hybrid, in-person setting must provide written notification to the principal at least 14 days prior to the monthly switch date. Therefore, should you wish for your child to switch to hybrid, in-person instruction, written notification must be received by Friday, February 19th. Then, the start date for your child would occur during the week of March 1, 2021. After the Principal confirms the change and designates your child to a specific group (A or B), you will also receive a bus pass for your child. Please realize that we must adhere to this policy due to the size of our district and in an effort to maintain health and safety.

Hybrid in-person groups are as follows:
- Group A = Tuesday/Wednesday
- Group B = Thursday/Friday
- Group C = Preschool and special education students who attend 5 days per week following the same abbreviated day schedule until further notice.
Lastly, as a reminder, students who attend hybrid in-person instruction are designated to either Group A or B, however, they remain all virtual on Mondays where they connect with their classroom teachers through Google Meet (not applicable to Group C).
Thank you for patience and cooperation as we continue our Road Back to School planning.
