The Basics
Coral reefs are found around the globe in warm waters. Corals can not stand temperatures that drop much below an average temperature of 18°C. This limits their habitat to waters between 23°N and 23°S latitude. The rainfall for Coral Reefs average around 80 inches per year. The heaviest rainfall month is February.
Sea Turtle
Sea Turtles are found in almost all of the coral reef biomes. They are a big part of the typical food chain.
Clown Fish
Clown FIsh are more commonly known in the warmer coral reefs
Starfish
Starfish can be found in all coral reefs.
Seagrasses
Manatee's and other herbivores feed on seagrasses.
Red Algae
Red Algae is mainly found in the Pacific reef.
Sponges
Sponges provide shelter to small fishes and other organisms.
