RHPS: We are Connected
Monday, August 6th - 1st Day of School
We will have the car line up and running on the 1st day of school, but you may walk your child in on Monday. If walking in, please park on the field behind RHPS and you can enter at the back doors of each hall.
Regular drop-off procedures begin on the 2nd day of school, so that we can begin building our normal morning routine with the students.
School begins at 9:00 AM and dismissal is at 4:00 PM.
Breakfast and Lunch
Breakfast is served daily at RHPS. If your child is a car rider, they must arrive by 8:45 in order to eat in the cafeteria.
The lunch menu is always available online - http://bryancoga.apptegy.us/o/bcs/page/food-service--6
We encourage you to apply for free/reduced lunch. In recent years, with changes in our economy, more students meet the guidelines to be eligible for free/reduced lunch.
The free/reduced lunch application can be printed from this link, or complete and return the copy you received at Open House. If you need assistance completing the application, please call the school.
$1.75 - breakfast
$2.75 - lunch
Parents may deposit money into lunch accounts through SchoolBucks:
Our arrival and dismissal process will take a little longer the 1st week of school. Please be patient as everyone learns the traffic patterns and kids learn our dismissal process. Thank you for following the guidelines and established traffic patterns. It does get faster and more efficient by week 2.
Car - Please review the established pattern for car line. http://www.bryancountyschools.org/o/rhps/page/traffic-pattern--5
Bus - Bus routes are published online. RHPS Bus Routes:
Walker/Bike-rider - You must complete a form and be approved to be a walker. Your residence must be within a 1 1/2 miles of the school for approval, as all other areas have bus service. The walker/bike-rider form was available at Open House. If you need a form, please contact your child's teacher. If approved, you will receive a walker pick-up tag with specific directions on the walker line.
Do you have a child that needs to have medication in school?
Students are NOT permitted to carry medication to/from school or be in possession of any medication except under specific circumstances. Medication of any form (over the counter or prescription) must be registered. Medications must be delivered by parent or guardian to the school clinic.
Contact Stefanie Willis, RHPS School Nurse, if you have questions or concerns.

Looking for after-school activities or classes?
Community Education's goal is to provide educational, recreational and enrichment opportunities for Bryan County residents, regardless of age or background. We offer diverse classes for both adults and children, making our schools a place of learning for the entire community. The qualified instructors who teach our classes come from our own community. The program serves approximately 900 students in its weekly classes. After registering, students will receive a confirmation letter informing them of the beginning date and time of their class.
