Talking With Mrs. Stevenson by Madi Kammer
Gators do you know the trait for this month? Well it is Generosity. Because Thanksgiving was last month. You are giving others food and that is Generosity. Well lets get on with the fun stuff. Here it goes...
- The Veterans Day Program was amazing. My favorite was when Mrs. Stevenson said Level 1 everyone put up the level on sign! She was impressed how involved all the classrooms were and student behavior was spectacular. So lets honor our veterans.
- Thanksgiving break was amazing. Mrs. Stevenson’s favorite part about Thanksgiving is the Drumstick Dash. It is a great example of generosity. Their slogan is : Move your Feet to Help them Eat.
- Mark your calendars for Evening with Santa on December 4th . The evening raises money for the school, and it is a nice evening to spend time with your family (more info will come out close to the actual evening).
Many holidays have generosity even Easter. So Generosity is a big trait! Use it everyday here at South Creek. Bye Gators!

From the Clinic...
As winter approaches, here are a few health related reminders:
Dress in layers- the morning bus ride may be a lot colder than the temperatures at recess. Remember hats and gloves! Don’t forget the feet! Be sure to wear warms socks and to wear shoes that have good traction to prevent falls. Pack an extra set of clothes (including socks) for those slushy days! Hydrate! Drinking plenty of fluids in the winter will help prevent illness. Sharing is NOT caring when it comes to germs- cover your cough and remind students not to share food or drinks! Medicate when necessary! Please remember that students are NOT ALLOWED to bring ANY medications to school. This includes over the counter medications (acetaminophen, ibuprophen, etc…) It also includes: cough medicine, cough drops, and vitamin C drops. The Clinic is happy to administer these treatments but an adult must transport the meds to school and sign a permission form! If your child has a medical condition such as asthma, don’t wait to send in prescription medications. Minutes matter during an asthma attack! As always, call the clinic for any questions or concerns! 317-860-4709

What’s your favorite sport? Mine is football. Are you going to play your favorite sport for a long time? Do you want to play in the NFL player, an NBA player, an MLB player, or be an NHL player? Maybe even be a runner, biker, or racer? Maybe even a golf player. I will let you think about that Gators. Well, that’s all for this month! Bye!
Talking to Teachers by Christian Castillo
Hello readers! It’s time for another installment of Talking to the Teachers. This month we interviewed a nice teacher with a high capability: MRS. SUTTON!!!
To start our interview, she told my crew and me about some things she did in October. She said that she spent time with her family and friends as well as doing some hiking with her family.
I asked her what she did in November. She replied, that she had traveled to Lake Michigan last month and that she headed to Brown County for Thanksgiving.
The last thing Mrs. Sutton wanted to add during our interview was, “I love this school and interacting with others.”

Red Ribbon Week by Will Coffman
Hi Gators! Will here and I’m going to explain a little about what we did for Red Ribbon Week,
And I will talk about bullying and drugs. Lets start with the winning essay’s, Norah from Mrs Webb’s class, Alyssa from Miss Trieb's class, and Faith Wheatley from Mrs. Carder's class. Fantastic job winners! Remember Kiki, the officer who died trying to help stop bad drugs. I think the best part of Red Ribbon Week was the library talk with Mrs. Adams.Remember Gators, never do drugs or bullying. Drugs are bad for your health and bullying is being mean.
