All Trussville City Schools Students Eligible for Meals at No Cost
Trussville City Schools is pleased to announce beginning Wednesday, September 9, 2020, all students will be eligible for meals at no cost each day through a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) coronavirus relief program. This program which was available this summer, has been reinstated now through the end of the year, December 2020, unless funding for the program is exhausted before that time.
Free meals are being provided by the U.S.D.A. in direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic that has left families across the country with food insecurities.
All students in Trussville City Schools will be able to eat both breakfast and lunch at no cost to students. This applies to all TCS students in all grade levels. Students enrolled in the Husky Online Academy (remote learning option) will also receive their weekly meals at no cost beginning September 9 (see important information below for September 9 -11).
Here are important details for you and your student:
- All TCS students will be eligible for (1) breakfast and (1) lunch at school each day.
- Students who purchase additional meals or "a la carte" items will be charged for those items.
If you have any questions, please contact Child Nutrition Coordinator Morgan Bean at morgan.bean@trussvillecityschools.com
