I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend, and Happy Easter to all who celebrate!


We are still in need of chaperones for this week's trip to the Lakeside Jazz Festival on Friday, 4/26. If you are available to chaperone, please sign-up on the Charms calendar before Tuesday, 4/23.


Looking ahead to next week, our Spring Concert is fast approaching. Students should be making sure they know where all the parts of their concert dress are and that everything is clean and pressed for our performance. For those students not participating in the LA Tour, more information about uniform collection will be forthcoming.


Best of luck to all our students performing in Night on Broadway this upcoming weekend!

1. BAND BANQUET HELP NEEDED

We need parent volunteers to make the Banquet&Awards night a fun event for all! There will be a working meeting Monday, April 29th at 6pm in the band room. We will be putting decorating pieces together for both the banquet and the stage. Please volunteer and help us make the evening extra special for our students. Email Sharon at bandmom85@gmail.com The more helping hands we have, the quicker the tasks will be done. We hope to see you then!


2. BAND BANQUET AND AWARDS SET UP AND CLEAN UP: FRIDAY, MAY 10

We need volunteers to help set up the auditorium (9-11am), the cafeteria (1-3pm) and to take down/clean up after the awards ceremony. Sign up for one or more areas for which you can assist. Seniors may volunteer also if you are officially out of school at that point. If you have a flexible day schedule, please consider filling one of those spots. Go to the band calendar at www.winterparkhsband.com and click on the helping hand icon for decorating set up on May 10th.

3. REMINDER: Band and Color Guard Parents and Students,

Our Band Banquet is a little over two weeks from now. If you haven't already RSVP'D with number of persons in your party, please do so by choosing the RSVP icon on our band calendar at www.winterparkhsband.com . Also, sign up for the pot luck dish you will bring by choosing the helping hand.

4. Registration Night:

We will need volunteers during registration night for 2 shifts, 6-7:30pm and 7:30-9pm. Look for helping hand on the band calendar in next couple of days.

UPCOMING EVENTS

.BAND SPRING CONCERT - MAY 1

The final concert of the year will take place at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, May 1.


BAND POOL PARTY - MAY 3

To conclude the school year, the Band Council is organizing a Band swim party for Friday, May 3, to be held at the home of Maddie Skena. The tentative start-time is 7:00 PM.


2019-2020 BAND REGISTRATION NIGHT - MAY 7

Registration for the 2019-2020 Winter Park Band will take place between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Please find more details and download all necessary forms from THIS LINK.

FINANCIAL

All payments for the 2018-2019 school year are posted on your Charms account. Please bring your student's account up to date as quickly as possible. Thank you for your attention to this!

LA TOUR

Final payment for the LA tour was due on 4/10. If you have not yet paid the final balance of your LA Trip account, please do so immediately unless you have spoken directly to me about an issue. We must have all of the payments for the trip before I can make a final payment to the travel company.
