A Message from Nurse Abby.....
What a muddy week!
If your child came home in clothes from the clinic, please wash and return on Monday. I have almost given out all my clothes. Thank you for your cooperation.
Have you been thinking “When is it ok for my child to return to school after an illness?” Our WISD policy is that a student must be fever (100.0 or above), vomit and diarrhea free for 24 hours without the use of suppressing medications before returning to school.
Please remember to send a refillable water bottle to school with your child, and don’t forget your flu shot!
Stay Healthy,
Nurse Abby

A Message from our School Counselor......
Happy Friday Bears!
Canned Food Drive: Next Wednesday, Nov. 7th is the last day to bring items for the canned food drive. Remember that our 4 most needed items are worth 5 Bear Buck each. Those items are canned soup, canned fruit, dry cereal, and jellies/jams. We have collected 966 items so far, so keep those items coming so that we can meet our 2000 item goal!!
Kids Count Players: Next Wednesday, November 7th, the 1st and 2nd grade students will get to see a live presentation about staying safe. “The Kids Count Players is a volunteer puppet troop and a project of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Collin County, created for children and dedicated to keeping them safe. These dynamic volunteers educate students about personal safety, boundaries, private touches, and the difference between surprises and secrets. The program provides children with critical information to help them stay safe from abuse.” Your child will also come home with a tip sheet/guide for you and your child to review together.
