Why Environment Officer?!
I think it would be awesome if I could be an environment officer! It sounds really cool because I love to help people with the environment! Environment officers don't just help people, they help the world and respond to water pollution and inspects waste sites to check that people are complying with their permit.
Job Description/Duties
Inspects waste sites, responds to water pollution incidents, and does action against people who cause the pollution. Inspects waste sites to check that they're complying with their permit, also responds to water pollution incidents, and does enforcement action against people who cause pollution or do not comply with environmental legislation.
Salary Range
The salary range is about 60,000 a year
Education Necessary to do the Job Successfully
A degree is not essential for this job, but some scientific knowledge will help.
Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages: Gets to help out with communities with water pollution and floods.
Disadvantages: Inspects waste sites and has to do speeches (not big speeches)
