Chaplain's Message

Christ is Risen! Indeed he is Risen! The Easter liturgical season and Springtime invites us to reflect on new life. St. Paul teaches us that in belonging to Christ we become like Christ and hold a new status in God's eyes because of the sacrifice of Christ on the Cross. How are we called to respond to this gracious gift? We have been called to more.... we have been called to live for others- we bring about the Kingdom of God in the here in now. Let us pray for one another, be kind to one another, assume generously, and most importantly, above all else love one another.

Want to be a Parent Volunteer?

Parents wanting to volunteer at the school or for field trips need to have a Criminal Record Check, Child Intervention Check, and sign a Volunteer Confidentiality Undertaking form.

Request forms for these can be picked up at the school office. If you are unsure if you have these documents already completed you can call the office and we can check for you. Thank you for considering volunteering at our school...we NEED and welcome you!

FINE ARTS PRESENTS

Please support our Fine Arts program by celebrating our students' success by attending one of their showings to their play, Beauty and The Beast on June 2nd or June 3rd. There are day-time and evening performances available for purchase @ $5.00 per ticket.

Indigenous Moon Calendar

This month, it is leaf budding moon, (SAKIPAKAWIPISIM) in the Cree calendar. At this time of year, we are all encouraged to go outside and appreciate the trees beginning to bud and leaves starting to to present. Can you feel the beauty of this creation? How have the leaves changed since the winter? Go for a walk to your special place, notice and feel your surroundings.

Common Topics and Quick Links

OLPH Parish

https://www.olph.ca/

  1. A Reminder about spring registration for First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion INCLUDING a special invitation for family whose children age 7-10 are not yet Baptized. We have special preparation available for those families so the little ones can be welcomed in Baptism during the Easter season then go on to celebrate the other sacraments with their classmates. Please share widely in your classrooms! A direct invitation from the grade 2-4 teachers would be extremely helpful.
  2. Invitations for two different adult Faith Formation opportunities being offered in April by the parish GiFT Committee (Growing in Faith Together.) Please share with all EICS staff and parents. You do not need to be an OLPH parishioner to participate.
