GREAT THINKING THURSDAY!
For Klein ISD Educators of Gifted Learners
SUMMER PROFESSIONAL LEARNING: Duke TIP
Every day presents exciting and daunting challenges for educators of the gifted: an opportunity to solve a problem or make something new happen for our students. At Duke TIP's Teachers Workshop, they strive to be invitational, conversational, and motivational so you can make what you need to for your classroom.

SUMMER PROFESSIONAL LEARNING: KHAN ACADEMY
To help you get the most out of Khan Academy, the folks at Khan Academy have created a NEW Teacher Training, a free, 60-minute, self-paced course that you can complete online anytime between May 14 and August 10. When you finish, you’ll receive a certificate of completion for Khan Academy for Teachers 101!
In this mini-PD, real classroom teachers share practical advice on how you can use Khan Academy for in-class practice, homework, review, test prep, and more!
There are bonus optional activities too! You’ll receive invitations to interactive webinars, Q&A sessions, and the chance to connect with Khan Academy Ambassadors.
And, there is a fun summertime bonus! Complete the training by June 30 to get three chances to win a trip to visit Khan Academy headquarters and the San Francisco Bay Area.
University researchers are working with College Board to help students build great study habits as they practice for the SAT and PSAT.
The researchers will text learners free research-backed tips to help them improve using College Board's Daily Practice app.
