Message from Your Proud Principal, Mrs. Clark

Well, we have already started the school year off in an eventful way. There's nothing like an early morning phone call informing you that an air conditioning pipe burst and the school had no air conditioning. I have to say I was so thankful for everyone's incredibly quick response and support of Parsons. As a Principal, it was amazing to see how District Leaders, Cluster Principals, Safety and Security officers, Facilities and Operations employees, Parsons staff, and parents came together to ensure student and staff safety which allowed instruction to continue. I am so proud to work in a district where support is in abundance.

I wanted to give a special thank you to staff for the ability to 'pivot' and execute. Our teachers are amazing! Within minutes, they prepared digital lessons to post on their eClass pages and packed up teaching materials so they were prepared to 'have school' at the high school. Our cafeteria staff quickly changed the daily menu to provide sack breakfast and sack lunches. Our custodial staff extracted water from the floors and our office staff answered phones and processed checkouts. It truly was an example of a synergized team.

Luckily, maintenance was able to find the part and had our air conditioning up and running so we never had to make the transition to Peachtree Ridge High School. I actually think some of the kiddos were excited about having school at the high school...LOL!

We truly are Parsons' Strong and I am so proud to serve as Principal in this wonderful community!

Afternoon Transportation

All transportation changes must be made in writing. Whenever you need to make a change to your child's afternoon transportation plan, please complete an Afternoon Transportation Change Form in the front office no later than 12:00 pm the day of the change. We will utilize this form to create the appropriate afternoon transportation pass. Please remember the GCPS Bus Rule: no passes will be issued for play dates, birthdays, weekend sleepovers, etc. For security reasons, we DO NOT accept transportation changes through phone calls or emails.

Student Check Out

Anyone checking out a child must present photo identification and be listed in our system as someone able to have access to the student. If you need to make changes to your list of approved emergency contacts, you may make changes on the Parent Portal or stop by the office to update this information. As a reminder, students may NOT be checked out after 3:00 PM. For assistance in updating contact information on the parent portal, please visit

School Visitors

There will be restrictions around parents visiting our school this year. Parents may volunteer at the school, but only in areas with limited access to students. For the safety of our children, all visitors must check in and out through the office and wear a visitor’s badge while in the building.

Parents should not visit the classroom in the morning. If you want to discuss the progress of your child, you should call, send an email, or schedule a conference appointment at a time when class is not in session. Staff hours are generally 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
