Dear EUSD Families and Staff,

We want to continue to thank our incredible EUSD community for your efforts to keep our schools safe and open for in person learning. I know there were many challenges for staff and families as we shifted to new guidance and new systems. As the week progressed, our teams were able to refine and clarify procedures which has helped everyone in navigating the omicron surge. Thank you!

To continue to support families and staff, we have created two infographics to guide decision making and provide a visual representation of specific guidance. Please find the two documents with these links:

As a reminder, the new guidance if a student is exposed to an individual positive for COVID-19 at school requires the student (including vaccinated students) to test once on day 3, 4 or 5. If you receive an exposure letter, students must be tested or must quarantine at home. Families can choose to test at home, at local testing sites or use Farm Lab from 7:30 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Monday - Friday. With our additional staffing and hours, there are no longer the lines we were previously experiencing so this is a fast option for antigen testing. Additionally, families may now order free at home kits at www.covidtests.gov. Only positive results need to be shared with the District via the district reporting form on the EUSD website’s homepage).

Please stay well and continue to follow all of our important safety measures. We know it takes all of us doing our part!

Warmly,

Andrée Grey, Ed.D.

Superintendent

Enrichment Showcase

Enrichment is part of what makes EUSD so special! Each school site provides enrichment opportunities to best meet the unique learning environment and needs of their school communities. All enrichment offerings are designed to extend classroom learning and provide students hands-on opportunities to enhance creative thinking, leadership skills, collaborative learning, increased literacy and so much more!

Since 2016, EUSD has been hosting an annual Enrichment Showcase Week. In years past, this has been an event where we invited parents on campus to get a taste of all the wonderful enrichment opportunities our students are exposed to on a weekly basis. This year, we have decided to share this experience by bringing enrichment to you! We sure hope you enjoy this glimpse into a portion of your student’s school day!
