What is the Integumentary System?
The Integumentary system consists of the skin, hair, glands, and nails. It protects us from the external environment. Other functions of the system include sensation, vitamin D production, temprature regulation, and exertion of small amounts of waste products.

The integumentary system is an organ system. It consists of this skin, hair, nails, and exo crine glands. Skin is the largest organ in the body. Skin weighs about 10% of your body mass. Skin forms the bodies outer layer and barrier of protection from chemicals, disease, UV light, and physical damage.

Skin Cancer
Skin Cancer is when bad cells divide uncontrollably and then they replace the good cells with bad cells. Melanoma is another word for kin cancer. It developed from pigment containing cells known as melanocytes. Surgery, immunotherapy, chemotherapy, or radiation are the cures for skin cancer.
Athletes foot
Athletes foot is also called tineapedis. It is a contagious fungal infection that affects the skin on the feet and can spreads to the toenails and sometimes the hands. The fungal infection is called athletes foot because it is commonly seen in athletes. The fungus infection is between the toes in which the skin becomes itchy sore cracking and peeling away. The cure for athletes foot is lotions.
