Sunset Valley Elementary - December 9, 2021
The Butter Braids Are Coming!
The Butter Braid pick up day is Tuesday, December 14th. All Butter Braids must be picked up on December 14th.
If your student sold less than 7 Butter Braids, they will come home in their backpacks on Tuesday. PLEASE BE SURE TO GET THEM OUT OF BACKPACKS AND PUT THEM IN THE FREEZER WHEN THEY GET HOME!
If your student sold 7 or more Butter Braids or was not in school on the 14th, you may pick up your Butter Braids between 4:15 and 6:15 PM at the cafeteria entrance.
No Butter Braids will be available for pick up until 4:15 PM.
If you are able to volunteer your time on Tuesday, December 14th, to help with distributing Butter Braids, please email Susan Conard at firstname.lastname@example.org. We need volunteers starting at 4:00 and ending around 6:30. If you are able to volunteer a part of that time, or the entire time, we appreciate all the help we can get! Students and younger children are not allowed to help at this time. Thank you!

Birthday Celebration Guidelines
Birthdays are special days for all of our little Jaguars, but we need your help in celebrating them in adherence with the LSR7 Board of Education policies. These policies have been implemented for the safety of all students and staff (food allergies, latex allergies, etc.). Please read the following excerpt from the R-7 Elementary Handbook regarding celebrations:
"Birthday recognitions are intended to be a celebration of the child in meaningful ways absent of food. Outside food will not be accepted for all-class distribution as part of the birthday recognition. Birthday recognitions are designed to be an integrated part of the school day versus a time that interrupts the daily classroom or building routines or instructional time. Birthday recognitions will be designed so as not to impact the dietary decisions or needs of other students. Invitations for out-of-school parties cannot be brought to school for distribution. Deliveries for students will not be accepted at school (i.e. floral arrangements, balloon bouquets, etc.)."
NOW IS THE TIME TO ORDER YOUR YEARBOOK
