eBooks for 21st Century Learning:
Emerging eBook Technologies into CCLS
This course will focus on how to integrate emerging eBook technologies and digital content into Common Core Curriculum Standards (CCCS). Introduction to cloud based eBook platforms, eReaders and mobile apps will be included. Participants will explore inquiry based learning, informational texts and literary texts. Concepts such as mobile learning, BYOD (bring your own device) and reading for pleasure will be discussed with ideas of how they would help with the teaching and learning process. The culminating activity will be to create lesson plans using eBooks.
Course Requirement: Participants will create one lesson plan outside of course session time to be submitted to the Teacher Center within two weeks after the final course session. A course evaluation form is required to be completed by each participant.
