Sociology/Psychology fieldtrip to Amish country
Mr Bardwell's Sociology and Psychology classes traveled to Davies County to visit an Amish farm and school. The students had a great time experiencing this subculture. The farm is owned by Norman Graber. Students were allowed to tour the inside of the house and explore the various other parts of the farm.
The students then took a hayride to the Oak Ridge Amish school. Once at the school the students enjoyed a selection of songs by the Amish students, introductions by everyone, and a question and answer time. Following lunch at the school, the Raiders took on Oak Ridge in our annual softball game - falling 15-12. After the game our students purchased homemade bread, peanut butter, and cinnamon rolls. It was a fun day and great cultural experience!
