The Signal to Noise Festival is on for 2021!

Film Entries are due Monday, March 29, 2021


Online Awards Ceremony/Festival - Thursday, May 20, 2021


Please review the guidelines below and check out the website for resources to help you create your master piece!


When you are ready to submit your film, ask your teacher or another Beaverton School District staff member to review it and give you the entry form link to fill out with your parent/guardian.

FILM CATEGORIES

  • Animation
  • Comedy
  • Drama
  • Documentary
  • Music Video
  • Experimental (High School Only)

2021 GUIDELINES

  • All video submissions are subject to being shared publicly.
  • Projects will be accepted and evaluated within three grade level divisions:
    • Elementary (K-5)
      • Video projects have to be less than 1 minute for Elementary School.
      • Credits should include only first names of student(s).
    • Middle School (6-8)
        • Video projects have to be less than 3 minutes for Middle School.
    • High School (9-12)
        • Video projects have to be less than 5 minutes for High School.
  • All collaborations need to follow CDC and Oregon Health Authority guidelines.
  • While adult guidance is encouraged, the content of submitted work should clearly reflect student effort.
  • Each project requires a Beaverton School District staff sponsor. (This can be a teacher, principal, paraeducator, etc.)
  • Beaverton School District maintains a zero tolerance policy regarding the use of drugs, alcohol, violence and discrimination. Submissions depicting or implying these or other potentially objectionable themes may be censored at the discretion of the judges and school district.
