Steps to Connect to Community Counseling & Mental Health Resources
Step One: Contact your insurance provider to see what services and therapists are covered. Many EAPs (employee assistance programs) will provide a limited number of counseling sessions for free as long as the referral and appointment is made through the EAP.
Step Two: Select one or two providers that are covered by your insurance or operate on a sliding fee. Arrange for your son or daughter to have an introductory meeting to determine if they feel they can work well together.
