November 23 Community Newsletter
Hello Parents and Guardians,
We would like to thank all of our parents who participated in our conferences over the past two days. The home-school bond is such an important aspect of effective schooling. I am thankful for your continued support of our scholars.
We would also like to thank the parents who attended our Honor Roll ceremonies this morning. With the busy holiday season upon us we appreciate the continued support of your students.
Every week we will feature students discussing WHY they love Woodbury. I hope you enjoy the video below. This video is featuring some class of 2022 alumni.
Thank you and have a great Thanksgiving!

Nurse Updates
Emergency cards are due into the Health Office. The nurses will no longer be routinely calling home for permission to give acetaminophen or ibuprofen (i.e. Tylenol or Advil). Extra cards are available from the nurses. Updated cards are to be provided every school year.
If your child shows symptoms of illness (temperature over 100.4, vomiting, diarrhea, bad cough) at home before school, please keep him/her home. It is cold/flu and stomach bug season. If your child comes to school, he/she can potentially infect many more students unnecessarily. If you have questions, please keep your child home, and contact the Health Office to speak with Mrs. Dreger or Mrs. Nesbitt.
A friendly reminder that in order to return to school after illness, students must be fever-free for 24 hours (without the use of fever-reducing medications). They also must be vomit/diarrhea free for 24 hours, and tolerating some food and liquids before returning to school.
FYI to parents of 11th and 12th grade students: Since protection from your child’s meningitis immunization (likely received in 5th or 6th grade) decreases over time, CDC recommends a booster at age 16 years. The preferred age to get MenB vaccine is 16 through 18 years old. This is not a mandatory vaccine. Please talk with your teen’s doctor about meningococcal vaccination to help protect your child’s health.
It is very important to have a family member or friend available to pick up your child in the event of illness or injury. Pick up should be within 30 minutes.
