"Anatomy of Gray" Coming Soon!
The next TMS Theatre production is right around the corner! The competition piece for the 17th annual KISD One Act Play Festival will be "Anatomy of Gray" by Jim Leonard Jr. Please join us at Fossil Ridge HS on February 20 at 1:00 PM and February 25, 26, and 27 at 7:30 PM back on our own stage at TMS.
When June's father dies, she prays for a healer to come to the small town of Gray, so that no one will ever suffer again; the next thing she knows, there's a tornado, and a man in a balloon blows into town claiming to be a doctor. At first, the new doctor cures anything and everything, but soon the town's preacher takes ill with a mysterious plague. And then the plague begins to spread. Set in Indiana during the late 1800's, deals with death, loss, love, and healing in a unique coming of age story.
News 8 Co-Anchor Cynthia Izaguirre
Ms. Izaguirre is considered one our area's most knowledgeable and recognizable news experts. She spoke to students about persuasive writing and speaking and even chose a few students to engage in a mock news broadcast that she scripted for the occasion! This was her first visit to a Keller ISD school and we were honored to have her take time out of her busy schedule for our students.
Thank you Ms. Izaguirre and a huge thank you to Mr. Gary Haire for organizing the event!

Sky Dancers and Violet Belles
The Sky Dancers are the varsity dance team at Timber Creek High School and the Violet Belles are the junior varsity dance team. Sky Dancers perform at all varsity football games, pep rallies, a few basketball games, and compete in 2-3 regional/national drill team competitions. Violet Belles perform halftime at JV football and JV basketball games, pep rallies and compete as well.
Being on dance team isn't just being a part of an organization; it is a way of life. Much is expected of them as they are held to a higher standard than most. These young women are well-known on campus and in the community for their discipline, success and respectful reputation. Sky Dancers practice every morning before school for the entire year. We will have some scheduled night practice every morning before school for the entire year. We will have some scheduled night practices about twice a week and some weekends, Violet Belles will practice one evening a week. You will be expected to devote your time and energy to our program, which is the key ingredient to our success. The dance team experience is unique, on that each drill team member holds dear to her heart.
Do you have to have dance experience to make the team?
No, but dance experience would be helpful, although is not a requirement.
Is there a certain number allowed to make the team?
Absolutely not! This is one of the biggest misconceptions.
How much does this cost?
This is a very important question. Sky Dancer cost ranges from $900-$1100 for clothing, camp, etc. Your first year on the team, Violet Belles is approximately $500. These amounts are paid out in monthly payments through July. We will have fund-raising opportunities available to help members offset this cost. This is normally a one-time fee and the dance team experience is priceless! You only pay that amount your first year on the team. Each additional year, you are required to pay for camp and any new items (est. $300).
