Educator & Support Staff Persons of the Year
Nominations are being accepted to recognize our district's best teachers, educational services professionals, and support staff professionals. Each school will identify one educator and one support staff professional from among the nominations they receive to represent their school.
The program includes “educational services professionals.” The program includes those educators that hold professional certificates in the area of education that do not specifically have a classroom e.g. nurse, guidance counselor, CST members, etc.

Counselor's Corner
This week (and next week) Ms. Pacera visited our 6th grade classrooms to conduct a lesson on Digital Citizenship. This lesson helped to support our students through how miscommunication is a common occurrence. and especially on social media. A large part of this is understanding how being behind a screen makes it easier to say things that we wouldn't typically say to one another in person. Students were guided through small and large group scenario based discussions to help them navigate and assist in the de-escalation of digital drama and cyberbullying. Please use the following "Family Activities" and "Family Tips" attachments to support these continued discussions at home. We hope to help encourage and support our explorers to be the best digital citizens they can be, while showing kindness, empathy, and respect to each other at school and online. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Ms. Pacera by phone (856-223-5120 ext. 6503), or by email at paceran@harrisontwp.k12.nj.us.
