This Week

Everyday Math

This Friday students began Unit 4 which focuses on decimals and place value. Your student's Unit 3 math test will be coming home with them early next week. Please contact me if you have any questions on their progress.

This week our students completed an investigation that challenged them to figure out how much weight can break the force of attraction between two magnets. See the pictures below of their investigation in action!

Social Studies

Next week students will be labeling their World Continents map and taking the test on Friday November 20th.

Have your student practice for the Continents test using the website below.

Students will be receiving their graded U.S. Political Map test early next week. Overall, each student did well on this test. If you are unhappy with your child's score, feel free to email me and we can reschedule a time for him/her to take it again.

These grades will be on the quarter 2 report card.

Thank you for those of you that had conferences scheduled this week. I truly appreciate you taking the time to have a powerful conversation about your child's education with me. These meaningful discussions help me make intentional decisions in the classroom to make your child have the most success at school!

For those of you I haven't met with yet, I look forward to meeting with you and discussing your child on Tuesday, November 17th.
