The mission of Longfellow Elementary School

Our mission is to partner with families to empower students to excel.

Distance Learning Days

This past week we have had a couple of times where a child has come back to the school on their distance learning days and attempted to interact with classes that were in school. I ask you to please make sure your child is not doing this. We have been doing everything in school to make sure that we aren't mixing classes and we want to stay vigilant with this while we are still in level 3. Thanks for helping out with this issue.

School pictures

School pictures are scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, September 29 for Group 1 students and the morning of Thursday, October 1 for Group 2 students.

*Virtual Academy students can come at 7:30 am on either September 29 or October 1. Come to door #22 and wait by the gym. If you don't feel comfortable coming in for a photo you can submit a head and shoulders picture of your child for the yearbook. Contact the office for who to send the photo to.

Order envelopes were sent home last week. If you'd like to preorder online use the following link and access code:

Box Tops

Box Tops transitioned to a digital format last year! To submit the digital Box Tops download the Box Top App from the website listed below. With this app, receipts need to be scanned and submitted within 14 days of the purchase to receive the credit. Your Box Top account can be linked to Longfellow Elementary School so the earnings are automatically credited to Longfellow.

Also Longfellow will have one final collection of physical box tops in October.

Longfellow clothing website is up!

Longfellow apparel is now available online. Brenda Maughan with Grappler’s Ink has provided apparel for the Longfellow community for over 8 years. Brenda’s three sons attended Longfellow, she has served on the PTO board and has enjoyed making our Field Day shirts over the years. Please check out this new website which will allow parents and staff to shop from home.

*All Longfellow apparel will come to the school and be sent home with your child. Once you place an order, you will receive a confirmation email.

*Ordering available through September 30th. At that time, all orders will be filled and another confirmation email will be sent to show your orders been processed. Expect to receive your apparel (with the exception of some hats if not in stock) in early October.

Student items drop off

If you have to drop off a forgotten item during school hours we have a drop box inside the entry way of our main office (door #22). Ring the doorbell located on the brick wall to the left of the doors and we'll buzz you in. You can put the item in the box without having to enter the office. If you could label the item with the student's name that would be appreciated as delivery may not occur right away. Thanks!

ATTENDANCE INFORMATION

Please help us with our daily attendance by calling the school if your child is absent or will be leaving early. By calling the school we are able to insure that your child is safe and accounted for each day.

Please call the office ( 446-5051) or email Patty Edlund at edlunpa@fargo.k12.nd.us.

If your child arrives at school after the bell rings at 8:30AM, they will need to stop at the office to get a tardy slip before going to the classroom.
