O. Henry's At-Home Library Newsletter: May 18th, 2020
Need to return library books? READ THIS!
We have been given clearance to have students pick up their personal items from the locker rooms. We are also asking for students to return athletic uniforms, library books, and school calculators. We will also have a table of items from our lost and found for pick up.
WHEN: Wednesday, May 20th 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. OR Friday, May 22nd 10:00-11:30 a.m.
Where: Gym Parking Lot off of Exposition
Student and Staff safety will continue to be our top priority. All students and parents will have to wear masks and maintain a minimum of 6 feet physical distancing approaching our drop off and pick up station as well as retrieving items from their PE locker. Please know that all items not picked up will remain secure in our building until school starts and can be collected at a later date.
summer reading: 5 Book Dive
Check out one or more of our 5 Book Dive suggested reading lists put together by your district librarians that are posted on the 5bookdive.org website. We have six lists to choose from: K-2 (English), K-2 (Spanish), 3-5 (English), 3-5 (Spanish), 6-8, and 9-12. Many of these titles, plus thousands more, are available as ebooks in MackinVia, Sora, and the Austin Public Library. Just remember, it doesn't matter if you read a magazine, a newspaper, a comic book, or a story book -- ALL types of reading counts! So take this summer to find something fun and interesting to enjoy!
